Online Internship

MightyLaws.in is a student run multi-author Blog, created with the motive of simplifying the complex laws and explaining them to readers without legal jargon and ensuring a better understanding of legal do’s and don’ts among masses. We seek to achieve same goal with this internship program. This will serve as a platform for active student participation in increasing legal awareness.

Internship Program

The internship requires you to explain various provisions, statutes or Indian Laws with a contemporary reference in the form of a blog post which will serve as a free source of legal knowledge of laymen. The articles should fall within any of the following heads :

  1. Law Statute : Bare Acts Summarized
  2. Socio Legal/ Current Affairs
  3. Latest Amendments
  4. Redundant Laws  which need to be amended
  5. Contemporary Issues (But no legal news)
  6. Analysis of Provisions/ Explanation

The internship will span for a period of 2 months (a minimum of 8 articles) requiring the interns to write one article (700-1000 words) per week. All the articles should be original piece of work and plagiarism will automatically result in termination of internship. (and we are pretty serious about this)

Application Process

  1. A copy of updated CV/Resume.
  2. A sample write up of not more than 500 words (any contemporary legal issue preferably).
  3. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible for a telephonic interview following which the Interns will be selected.

Some reasons why you should Intern with MightyLaws

  1. Four golden words- Recognition+ Exposure+ Social welfare+ CV credentials (Blogging is the new in thing!)
  2.  Before a law could be simplified, its complexities need to be understood.  A blogger/lawyer would do as much good to himself as he does to others when he/she simplifies the ‘mighty laws’.
  3. You get a Certificate for Internship + A whole lot of 8 or more Articles in your name.
  4. You retain the copyright to your article(s) published at MightyLaws. You may gladly get them published in books, journals, magazines, newspapers etc (Only exception being its publication over the internet).
  5.  It is not the idea but ‘expression of that idea’ which is of foremost importance. Even if you can’t think of something original to share with readers, you may elaborate upon an already existing idea (with due credit to original thinker).
